For Applicants
Thank you for your interest in Children’s Scholarship Fund– Charlotte (CSF-C), a fund of Foundation For The Carolinas. This program provides partial scholarships based on financial need to families in Mecklenburg County who wish to send their children in grades K-8 to independent schools. Recipients are chosen through a computerized random lottery process and receive financial assistance to attend the tuition-based schools of their choice. Families must always contribute at least $500 (per family, not per child) towards tuition (from NY policies and procedures).
To be eligible to apply for scholarship assistance your child must:
- be five years old and entering grades K-8 in the 2012-2013 school year.
- your household income must fall within the guidelines listed on our lottery form.
- your family must reside in Mecklenburg County, NC.
If you need additional help or have other questions, please contact Carla McCrorey (email: cmccrorey@fftc.org) at Foundation For The Carolinas.
Important Update:
- Lottery Application Process for the 2012-2013 school year is currently closed; the random lottery was administered in October, 2011. If you have NOT received a letter to date, your application was not selected.
- The admissions process for the 2013-2014 school year is being re-evaluated and applications are not available at this time. Please refer back to website on June 1st for updated instructions.
